Zulu Interagro, 2003 Lusitano stallion (Profano Interagro x Trovoada Interagro) arrived at CEC in March 2008. Bred at the Interagro stud in Brazil,
he captivated Athene at the Lusitano Exposition and Auction in
Florida with his presence and wonderful gaits, combined with
a gentleness that set him apart from the other magnificent horses
on show.
Zulu's dressage ability continues to grow exponentially, with help from Athene's trainer, Tim Malin, who has competed him to many blue ribbons and good scores at 3rd level in 2011.
Zulu
is a pro on the trails, and handles all natural obstacles with ease. He is partcularly fond of water! He has demonstrated his adaptability and athleticism by participating in Versatile Horse and Rider Competitions, Judged Trail Rides, even Reining Clinics.
In the discipline of Working Equitation: a 3 part competition which includes a Dressage Test, an Obstacle Course, and a timed Obstacle Course, Zulu is competing at the 2nd highest level available to horses in the USA. He won his division at the ERAHC 2011 show in July 2011, and finished as High Point Champion for the show, as he did in 2009 and 2010. He is also the recipient of many USEF year-end awards
Gentle, affectionate, and well-behaved for a stallion, Zulu
is an attention-grabber, and clearly regards himself as "the
main man" at CEC!
He has one foal on the ground: the enchanting WF Fiona, who had a wonderful debut show season in 2010.
